Blog Post #1

Hi my name is Jeffrey Dorsey. I am from Opelika, AL. I have lived there my entire life. I am very interested in graduating from college one day. I wanted to attend the University of South Alabama because it is a great school and it's one of the top schools on the leader board for my major.
I wanted to enter the field of education because I really enjoy children and helping others. I have a great passion for being successful. I probably workout a little more than the average person. I have never taken a class like this, so I really want to see how this is going to turn out.
While I was watching the video on time management, I learned that most Americans are very bad with dealing with time management. I also learned that in a situation, a person should always ask the question why. Everyone should have a plan each and everyday. A person can always change there plan, but they should always start with one. I did not know anything about Dr. Pausch before watching this video.

  1. Jeffrey,
We are glad to have you in EDM310 this semester and look forward to seeing you in the lab! Thanks for letting us know more about you and why you have decided to become an educator.
Be sure to always edit your posts for grammar errors and spelling errors before you post. Keep up the good work!

  2. Hi Jeffery,
My name is LaVenia Curtis and I too share the same passion you have for children and helping others. That's why i want to become a teacher. I don't workout but I probably should lol. Good time management skills is something good to have especially with this class. This was a great blog post and I'm interested to hear more from you.

  3. Hello Jeffrey,
My name is Brittany Enright. It is a good thing that you like children because that is a necessity in the field of education. We have something in common, because I am very passionate about helping people out as well. Are you majoring in elementary or secondary education? I am majoring in elementary education and I hope to teach special needs children.
Your blog is inspiring me to start working out on a regular basis! I should add working out to my daily plan, because as you mentioned in your post, plans are important to make. I enjoyed reading your first blog post! I look forward to learning more about you!
